Fossils in Cabo area
Looking for any leads on where in the Cabo area to search for fossils (bones, teeth, anything). I know Mexico is serious about this stuff, so not
planning to bring any home or disturb in any way. Just something I like to do and figured there would be some areas down there. Thanks,

Not very surprised this hasn't had any responses. Most don't know and those that do won't tell. Just looking for general direction.

There are fossils everywhere once you open your eyes you can find them everywhere, hundreds a day, collecting them is a bit silly. Let them tell a
story and leave them where they are or keep just one or two.

Look for the yellow dirt!
I find fossils or petrified wood on many of my trips. Fossil sand dollars near Punta San Francisquito and petrified wood near El Rosario are recent
finds. Found fossil sea snails last week near Santa Catarina Landing.
Photos of all posted here in my trip reports.

About 40 years ago I was in the Cabo area and a friend of Doc Ross, Jim Jefferies I think his name was, took my father and I up into the hills near
Mira Flores I think and we found Megalodon teeth laying half buried in the dirt. I found 4 of them.
