The bullet holes are cool, but they say the sign is fake.

When's the last time you saw a real sign here with bullet holes in it?

Arizona, yes. Baja? Probably not.

Nonetheless, cool sign and I'd be happy to put it in my garage.

And, forgive my ignorance, but where would you be that would be 1200km (800 miles + or - ) from Ensenada and 2000km or 1200 miles from Cabo? That would have to be somewhere on the mainland? Way east on the mainland or even out in the Gulf of Mexico?

Willing to admit my ignorance if you can explain the distances. Even more impossible in miles.

No?

Or is it just the vodka?

Or am I just sucker to bite that someone thought it was real?? Okay, just a nube here...?

Educate me you hard core Bajaeros... Or Bajamians... or...

you can find them on "race desert.com" in plastic or metal.

The sign represents the route we ran this year. The kilometer on the first line is the distance. The subsequent line I believe are the miles...I would have to go back to the paperwork and check. It is not a sign that is found on a Baja hwy.

The font and bullet damage mimics the Auto Club diamond signs that once provided Baja travelers with directions an distances at major forks in the old dirt roads that crisscrossed the peninsula. There are some photos of some posted.

Rathet than the first line being a kilometer figure with the others being mile figures, maybe it is the YEAR... 2017 maybe Ralph???

Could be...it also equates to the kilometers we ran. But you are probably correct.

It is funny, but 2017 kms is pretty close to the total miles, too! 1250 miles.
