Great story Pompano

I was driving my motor home north up the grade out of the central desert toward El Rosario. Mary Ann was following me in our old pickup, POT (poor old truck) and suddenly she is flashing lights and waving and I'm smelling fire. I sweep off the pavement onto a dirt pullout, grab a six-pack of sodas from under the couch, roll out the door and under the chassis, shake, aim and open a can and spray it onto the flaming transmission. After several cans are exhausted so are the flames.

I guess from our parallel experiences, it's a time honored Mexican tradition to use carbonated beverages as fire extinguishers. It's funny how we learn to adapt. Thanks for your story.

Pompano, Wonderfully fun story, Thanks!

I could so easily imagine it all. I knew Don Manuel Diaz from when I was a snot nose bratt camped on coyote, well, it was all so easy to bring me home with, again thanks for a delightful vision. God, I love Coyote!
