Hospital Close to the Border
English language website, 24-hour service and states that they are low cost.

Do not know anything about them; maybe check Yelp or Trip Advisor.

Doctor sitting in a pharmacy back room or some place next door, making his living by writing prescriptions - this would be all he's good for.
If your guts are telling you that you need help right now, and not just medications, then you need a hospital. Don't know much about Hospital Mexico.
24hr service could mean a doctor on call, not necessarily emergency ward. Hospital Angeles is a national chain and it looks like they have emergency:

There is a medical sub-group here with good advice from all. There are lots of great doctors around at truly bargain prices compared to the USA,
perhaps a bit pricey compared to the rest of the world.
The section here is called Baja Health and Wellness. Check it out here:

Ignore the snarky stuff. Get in there and get what you need. There are lots of good people here ready to help.

thanks for the help, but it doesn't have what I'm looking for. I'm just going to ask my dentist when I see him again.

One method would be go to Hospital Angeles or Excel Hospital, both top notch, and ask to see a doctor. They both have doctor's offices on the upper
floors. Unlike American hospitals, these have private doctor's offices housed in the same building.

Yeah but my point is both hospitals have private doctor's offices in the same building, unlike American hospitals, at least the ones I'm familiar
with. You don't need to be admitted to the hospital to see a doctor.

Agreed, it's a mixed system out there. If it's after hours and you think you can't/shouldn't wait - will those offices stay open through the night?

No, in that case you're in the "traditional" emergency room situation. In fact the doctors that have private offices in the two TJ hospitals I
mentioned work on a daytime appointment system. I've been to both Hospital Angeles and Hospital Excel, just to check them out. They both have doctors
that cover all the specialties and of course the hospitals have all (most) of the diagnostic machinery.

Experienced doctors are busy, - of course they work on appointments. If he is "your" doctor already, he'll probably take you as a walk-in when it's
urgent. He won't be happy but will try to accommodate you.
