Quickie Trip to Guerrero Negro...H O T!!!!

Juan & I made a quick trip to GN for paint and other supplies and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD it was sooooo HOT!!! I sure wasnt expection THAT in GN as is is usually nice and cool.

We stayed at Baja Oasis and heard about Luis's new plan for a 2nd floor of double rooms & a restaurant which will be ready for next whale season where my groups stay. It was nice and quiet, fantastic bed and big overhead fan was useful as well as good screens on the windows.
I thought I dreamed it was thundering and raining but turns out it really did...which made it super muggy the next day.

Many thanks to...I think it was Archie who mentioned that the military store beside the old supermarket & Casino....so I shopped there and was ecstatic to find beautiful fresh CHERRIES!!! They had a great food selection and meats as well...we even got a turkey!

I also saw new cool looking bar next to the new Microelectrico store that has an outdoor upstairs patio...looked real inviting but it was too friggin hot to be out of the air conditioned truck!

The side streets are a bit of a cluster fruck as they are paving many of them but it will be super nice when they are done. All in all GN looked great...I sure wish I had somewhere to put an awesome classic old pool table I saw at a segunda. We will have to build a games room next I think!

GN was horribly hot but when we got to Vizcaino I stepped out to go the bathroom at the Pemex and nearly passed out....had to be way over 100. I guess the storm Eugene is bringing the heat.

I was silly happpy to get home to cool Bahia Asuncion...I am never traveling away from here again till October!
...wonder how many cherries it takes to give you a belly ache?

Great report! Gotta love a quicky trip. Reminds me once I saw it so hot, the locals took off their black sweatshirts and stripped down to sweaters and levis!!
That was the same heat wave that Bill Clinton had to get in bed with his wife just to cool down!!!
