Sentri and my truck?
After 5+ months my truck was added to my SENTRI account. The letter was a standard form letter.
"We are pleased to inform you that your U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), SENTRI program membership has been Approved. you may use the
program as soon as you receive and activate your new SENTRI card."
I have had a SENTRI card for 14+ years, renewed twice. All the other times I added a auto it was inspected before it was approved, I didn't receive a
new card when they were approved. Has anybody received a new card when they added a auto?

That is indeed a form letter and its way out of date. Head south and when you cross back north be prepared with all pertinent paperwork,
( registration, proof of insurance) for the vehicle. We were told that we would get sent to secondary in one of the first five NB crossings and may be
sent more then once. The CBP in secondary now approve/check your vehicle, not the office.
YMMV.

Too funny (CBP)! They told my gf that with her new SENTRI she would be pulled into secondary one of the first three times she crossed the border
northbound. Didn't happen on the 3rd crossing so we asked the agent if we could get inspected that time - he checked his computer and said it wasn't
needed! Go figure.....
Just do it!

Cool you get a new card! Maybe it needed a rfid upgrade to hold the increased information when you added the new truck?

I have crossed three times with my new SENTRI - no secondary yet. I also submit a declarations form with everything I brought down and am bringing
back plus the value of anything I purchased. Maybe that helps to keep me out?

Current urban legend is that when you add a new "conveyance" ( a vehicle of some sort) to your online Sentri account, you will see an online approval
of the conveyance first on your account, then when you cross with the new vehicle it could be inspected, maybe not.

I received my card a few months ago. I added my vehicle information at the time I applied but I guess I need to officially add the vehicle after I'm
approved? So went on my account and added. Called just to double check I needed to and was told they are taking 23 weeks to approve vehicles. Wow.
This is the timeframe you guys are seeing huh?

I added a new truck to my SENTRI last week, and it got approved yesterday. Under 7 days to get approval
Odd that you and others are reporting multi-week or multi-month waits I was
surprised to get it so fast, as others here were reporting long waits....
I got the same form letter, suggesting a new card. If you go to the FAQs at CBP, they explain the form letter is just that, a form letter, and you
wont get a new card.

I just went through with my new truck that was just added. They sent me/wife and truck through the giant x-ray machine and then did a personal
inspection.
10 minutes
If the vehicle is in your accounts conveyance section and SENTRI card has been approved, just do it
