Photobucket recently started charging to be a 3rd party host. Try Imgur or some other hosting site.

it happened overnight that they changed their policy. I believe someone said they will allow you to post on sites such as bajanomad if you pay $400.

I am using an online resizer. Then I save the new resized photo to my laptop. I then use browse at the bottom of bajanomad when you preview your post to find it. Load and voila!

If you want to put a space between the photos, preview again and put a space or two between the photos. Sounds complicated but it really is easy.

Seriously, check out www.postimages.org set the size to 800 or less, and post all the photos you want, for free.

Blanca, which resize program are you using? Is this an appropriate size?

I don't understand what is going on. I just renewed my photobucket at 29.95 a couple of weeks ago and I still can post pictures like this.

Same with me Tom, works as always. Seems to be an issue for those who have only been using the free service?

Kurt, try www.postimages.org it seems the best because the Nomad max size of 800×600 pixels is easy to pick before uploading the photo. Just tap the down arrow by the size question. You don't need to join or pay.

Had the mid tier level so I'm good for a year and a half. By then they will probably change the policy back.

avatar to the left is hosted at postimages.org.

1. select the photo from your hard disk you want to use.
2. upload to postimages.org using the avatar size selection
3. copy and paste URL into your profile. Use the second link named "Direct Link".

Here's the trick;

This message board requires that the URL you use ends in an image extension, .jpg, .gif, or maybe .png. The "Direct Link" does that.

Also, the "Direct Link" starts with "https". You need to edit out the "s".

again, the URL starts with http:// and ends with a valid image extension.

Where is the 2nd "direct link" located? I do not see it.

You are talking about pasting it into the Avatar URL under user profile, correct?

Thanks

On the list of URL s that you can copy on image post the second is the direct..... .and the key is to delete the 's' as noted above

Howard, all the links for your bird-dog image are there. Just click the button right above the photo that says SHARE (use the second link 'Direct' and remove the s from https)

Copy into the Avatar URL textbox in your bajanomad user profile

Thanks everyone!

My bird dog is alive and well!

To be honest, I have no idea what I did other than follow everybody's instructions.

In a nut shell, what the --- did I do to make it work?
