Tourist visa or fm 3

What is the benifit of an fm3 ? Our ReMax agent in San Felipe told us a 6 month tourist visa would do & was alot cheaper - We have been going down every other month for 3/4 days - we will be down for good late this year - any input ?:?: All we go down with is our licenses & birth certificates - dog shot records (6 dogs) no problem

You can stay with your fmt for now but when you come down for good you will need to change to an fm3. there are no real advantages it is just required.

Run a "Search" on this board for info. There have been lots of posts regarding the necessaty of having a FM3 if you own or lease property here.

You can "get by" with lots of things but there are legal requirements.

Maybe we'll get together next time you're down.
