How Silly. The travel warnings for various parts of the world are to make the traveler aware of what is going on in their destination. The things
going on in Mexico are real and should not be ignored.

His BS is a couple of years old and written only to get attention to himself.
Add to that.......any half-ass studied writer who calls himself a "gringo" in public, should go to the back of the audience and sit with Blacks who
refer to themselves as "N-Words." The label is derogatory....and way over-used by Whites who think it's cute.

I really don't mind being called or labeled a "gringo" either, as long as there's not that unpleasant adjective attached to the word, the p**che
word. I hear "gringo" often in Mexico, usually in a non-derogatory way. The common use of the word "gringo" stems from the fact that Mexicans prefer
not to call us what call ourselves: "Americans." Mexicans, Central and South Americans all consider themselves "americanos." Mexicans use
"norteamericano" or "estadounidense." Both are mouthfuls, so the default word is "gringo" for its brevity in rapid conversation, especially with
persons with less formal education.
Isn't there an English language news publication in Rosarito call El Gringo News or something close to that?

I prefer to be called by my name. "Refered to" is another issue.
The "GRINGO GAZETTE" is Carrie Duncan's roll of TP periodical from La Paz....or somewhere down there. Her pardner in distaste, Nancy Conroy, was run
out of town by the Robmearito "power that is...was and will be" years ago. I mean...run for your life out of town.
