Commuting from Playas to SD... via jet ski???

I have my Global Entry/Sentri, but even still, the daily commute to Downtown SD is busting my huevos... I've been trying to find info about crossing by nautical vessel (jet ski) near Border Field State Park. Would this be unfeasible or frowned upon, making me good target practice for coast guard and c&bp? any info would be greatly appreciated :D

That'll be one less car in front of me in the Sentri lane.

I think everybody is required to go through a Port Of Entry to cross legally.
Add to that, Popotla, south of Rosarito, is an embarkation terminal for water-borne illegal entry.
You'll be lucky if you're not eventually imprisoned...at best.....and say adios to your passes...forever.
Have a nice trip.

Already late every other day, figure I can at least try to arrive in style

but for real, if cpb doesn't mind a guero cruising by, i'm certain jet skiing would be faster to my office

Just tape your Sentri card to your forehead so they can see it with binoculars.

Friends take skis to tow in surf at Bm's and Rosarito Beach. They haul ass both ways and occassionally CBP chases them down a mile offshore IB. Never an issue other than a good looking over. Not much to see on a jet ski.

Come to think of it I used to take my runabout to the Coronado Islands out of San Diego and back. No problems.

U would have to clear immigration/customs every entry to Mexico or USA. There is port immigration in San Diego and Ensenada, so your ridiculous commuting idea is possible, but not practical

Guess you learned that commuting sucks.
A good life lesson: don't spend your life commuting, life Is too short (they should teach this in college)

Why don't you live in USA and get your life back?

Woke!

I'm sure you'd be fine. They usually don't care if things are going by sea, otherwise there'd be a border in the ocean.

Sounds like a cool idea. But would it really be quicker. Maybe fun on a nice day. But if it is rough and snotty I think it may be less than fun.

This is funny. You would have to check in at the Customs Dock in San diego bay. The agent is stationed at airport. Get a motorcycle.

I know this is off topic, but is there any such thing as a water taxi, or shuttle between TJ and SD ports?

This one gets my vote. Or if insisting going by PWC,
drag a Rapala behind, on second thought, you would
be trolling thru the TJ river outfall
