This is a good site... you must select the resize tool and choose the size for Nomad (640x480 or 800x600 max) or for an Avatar size (100x75) or the
photo will distort the page or the avatar will not show.

Photoimage Does Not Work for Me
I went to the linked website, uploaded my image selecting the Avatar choice (100x75) and tried to bring it up with the "Edit Profile" on Baja Nomad.
Nada, nothing.
Any suggestions?

This morning I decided that it was time to put up my AVATAR again (after getting the message on PHOTOBUCKET).
I went to http://www.postimg.org
Uploaded my preferred profile photo in avatar size, (100X75)
Went to my user profile and selected edit profile. I inserted the appropriate link (direct link) and copy/pasted it to my profile, saved the
profile...and nothing.
So I did it again and changed the copy/paste to (link) from postimge. Still nothing
So I tried two more links...NOTHING!
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to attach my profile photo to my avatar?

Udo, what's the link you're attempting to use?
Thx

Hola, Doug!
The website allows one to upload easy enough. In the case of my AVATAR, I chose the image size 100X75.
I tried the link, https//postimg.org/image/y65pu4vl5/
Plus I also tried the direct link, https://s20.postimge.org/c6zb6xer1/265.jpg
In either case, after a copy/paste into the avatar field of my user profile, I saved the links. And when I went to see my avatar on a post, it was not
there. So then, I went to the user settings to see what went on, and in each instance, my avatar field came out empty. I would think that after 10
years on this board I would have most of this stuff figured out. But I am still getting stumped!

Udo, the first link you posted above is missing the : after https (why it isn't turning blue)... make sure the links are complete.
The list of links available on postimg.org is pretty large for each photo, have you tried more than the two you mentioned?
There are 8 possible links... here they are for a map. Two show up automatically here as they are hot links for forums:

Hola David!
Now when I log in, all I get is my image I chose for my avatar. Clicking on does nothing. Clicking on it used to bring up the choices of links (I
think there were 7).

Gooood morning everyone,
Anyone having PROBLEMS viewing AVATAR on BajaNomads?
Yesterday all of a sudden my Avatar disappeared from cyberspace from my profile.
I'm using " https://postimages.org/ " as my host for my Avatar Image (150x112 pix) and using the "Direct Link" to upload it:
https://s6.postimg.cc/74iah20ox/AVATAR-_P1010144_BN.jpg
When I upload I the image in BajaNomad's "User Control Panel" in "Edit Profile" the dialog next to "Avatar URL" reads: "Valid Image" with green fonts,
then I click on "Edit Profile" at the bottom and the image path is no longer there.
Any help will be most appreciated.
Muchas gracias amigos Nómadas.

Apparently this site's software wasn't setup to allow the secure address URL for the avatars (and everything online is moving towards using secure
addresses)...
So, firstly, if you remove the "s" in "https" - it works. For now. I also uploaded it to this site. So here are two URLs that work... for now:
http://s6.postimg.cc/74iah20ox/AVATAR-_P1010144_BN.jpg
http://forums.bajanomad.com/avatars/indiv/carlosg.jpg
And while it looks like there's a longtime coder on the project for this site's software (XMB) that's taken over as lead developer - and is updating
it to include https support (which I will continue to observe and assess these new developments)... it is more likely that I will make a platform
change in the not-tooooo-distant future. Because of this, I'm making few, if any, edits/changes/updates to the current software - as they would
likely be short-lived.
Thank you for your kind patience and understanding.
