Bob & Susan...

It is indeed a small world down there near Mulege...

About three weeks ago, when we were staying in our palapa at Playa los Naranjos, we me Pete & his wife (from PS) at a pot-luck on the beach....

Then a couple of days later, Patricia and I were driving around west of Mulege looking at the many casitas and ranchos there, when I heard a nasty ding-ding noise coming from our Bronco's engine! I shut it down right away, and took a look. It was the engine drive/fan belt coming apart!

I had a spare with me, but had left all my tools back at the beach. Nearby where I had parked, was a young man washing his car. I approached to ask if he might have a wrench, as I began ask in my broken Spanish, he announced that he spoke English! As we talked, he asked where we were staying, and low and behold, he told me he worked for Victor there at PS! It was Ruben! He's really a nice guy and I also bought some palm fonds from him for our palapa's roof.

PS does indeed have lots of stuff going on out there these days...

good report you guys, thx!

PS is still on my radar as a top target for a lot/home. Has he optained his approval and fed permits for the ramp and dock yet? I see on their site my lot is still showing available. Hope he continues to make it a success, there are a host of difficulties making such a project work profitably yet stay competitive.

i'll check in with Vic this summer.

Now THAT"S a GREAT idea!!!

They land those float planes on the Colorado River ALL the time....should be "no sweat" here...

then just drive it to your "Airport House"
and garage it.....

Pompano

You are a lucky guy!

Last night we saw The Aviator. One scene has HH landing a really cool looking amphib and then taxing up to shore where he gets out and..........I don't want to spoil the movie.

The movie was well done. HH was a smart guy, just had a screw or two loose.
