Pricey swim bladders attract drug cartels
Mexican drug cartels, Chinese traffickers and sky-high prices for the totoaba swim bladder, which make it more lucrative than cocaine, are all
conspiring to push the critically endangered vaquita marina porpoise closer and closer to extinction.

This swim bladder stuff must really work good. Does it come in pilll form or do you have to eat the bladder raw.
Cause if I have to eat a whole raw tortuaba bladder I think it's going to ruin it for me a little.
I gonna need a few tic tacs too...

W. T. F. is it with those Slopes ?
Isn't all that Viagra and similar fairly cheap and readily available ?
It seems like the orient should be saturated with pills from China and elsewhere.

Mr. Moderator
Just so you know, I do not wish to participate in a board that allows such bigoted filth to be displayed by an individual.
Please ban this person so I do not see any of his hate or in my little way of protest I will no longer participate here or buy any products that is
advertised. I wonder if the advertisers know what is going on?
Freedom of the press and speech can only go so far in my book.
Hopefully others will join in and you will see it the same way.
Do the right thing,
Howard

Hate ?
Having read a LOT of stronger stuff here, I can only say that someone who is THAT upset over something that MILD is certainly possessing of a VERY
tender psyche.
It's surprising that they made it through their teen years.
Or, cable TV.

Slopes? I believe it refers to a perception that asian and in this case chinese have a sloping forehead.
I have not observed that as true but I don't check closely either. I don't care.
I think we can establish the word "slope" as derogatory. Bad manners.
Kind of like the word " gringo " wouldn't you say?
Anyway, news stories indicate that the tortuaba bladders are consumed primarily by rich chinese men.
And yes one would assume that they would have unrestricted access to several varieties of "Male health enhancement" pills.
Thus the nature off my original post.
I can buy a pill at the corner gas station for about $7 that provides almost instantanious positive results. I've tested several brands. Some several
times. The testing process is very long... and hard.
So does tortuaba bladder work soo much better? Anyone tried it? One would assume based on the nature of it's function it should be easily available in
Tijuana.
Perhaps in front of the Chicago club.
But, my guess is my $7 pill works just as well. And I didn't need to kill endangered and protected species to perform effectively.

I haven't seen anywhere that says the totoaba swim bladder, is used for ED purposes, although the soup called "maw" has many reputed medicinal
purposes from anti-aging, circulatory, skin care, etc etc.....[and I do see where it's also mentioned to boost fertility, but I think they are
mostly talking about woman trying to get pregnant.
None of these reputed medicinal purposes have been proven to benefit any one, and I see it's also used as a status symbol of the rich.
Why blames the Mexican drug cartels?
The Chinese like the Americans, should also get a lot of the blame, for importing the swim bladder, or in America's case, for importing drugs, to keep
up the demand of the US junkies.
And besides, I see no mention of a specific Mexican cartel, and it sounds like another sensationalized news article just speculating on the fact the
swim bladder, is worth so much, the Mexican cartels must be involved.
If there are only 30 vaquita porpoise in the ocean, it doesn't sound like that many drug cartels would be in the business.

If it isn't for correcting ED purposes then it is even more incredible that people would want this product.
I guess if you're rich enough and have all the other status symbols, (Lambo, learjet, tropyhy wife, etc) and if that just isn't enough to stroke your
ego...
I guess you go for the more exotic status symbols... elephant tusk, rhino horn etc.
So, if it's purpose is no definable medical or health benefit and it is strictly a status symbol... how does one display a tortuaba bladder as a
status symbol...?
Does one wear it like a gold chain...?
Why on earth are these idiots doing this?

So, I am a rich chinese dude.
I am standing in my mansion throwing a party in the "Trophy room"
I am pointing to a Tortuaba bladder which I had preserved and mounted on a fine plaque.
" My Tortuaba bladder is soo much bigger that your's ha ha! Yours is puny compared to mine. You must not have much money but you pretend to be rich."
"I had to kill almost every Vaquita left in the world for this prize"
There were a few ethical fisherman there in San Felipe who would not wipe out those pesky Vaquitas. You know I really don't need them and they just
get in the way of Tortuaba havesting.
So I had the chinese herion gang boss contact the mexican herion gang boss send some tough hombres with a fist full of money in one hand and a magnum
in the other ."
So now the Vaquita slaughter is almost complete.
And when their gone the Mexican Navy will leave and then we can go after those Sea Shepard ×#÷';//&😠"
"Once they're at the bottom of the ocean we can get all the Tortuaba bladders we want. Maybe you can get a bigger one than mine. Ha ha!
Who wants a new bladder! I'm taking deposits. Who in here thinks they're rich? Step right up folks..."
Is this why my (the world's) precious Vaquita are being wiped out?

I saved the whales once in the 70's and I'll do it again if they make me. And now they are poaching fish!.
I like whales but I love fish.
So the gloves are off. This is bare knuckle and no rules!
I shall fly over the pirates in my tiny plane and drop water baloons on them. Ha ha
If they shoot back... I will egg them by the dozen!
Take that you meanies. You can run but you can't hide.
I'll chase your cowardly hide right back to your pirates' den...

Nipping at the Problem
Setting aside "politically incorrect" phrasing in an effort to avoid inflicting psychic distress on tender minds, it is still worth pointing out that
the persistent villains in the ongoing wars against Whales, Dolphins and other ocean species since I was a young lad have been (then)
Orientals or (now) Asians.
Whatever their motives. Which have often been described as Inscrutable.
Although, there does seem to be a carnal lust theme throughout their misdeeds involving the ecosystem.

That really is worth study. What is their mindset on this? How would they explain this? How do they explain lt to themselves to justify it as a good
thing?
That is providing the above statement has any basis in fact. It seems obvious but are their studies that back it up.
Or is it just stereotype?

Reading Comprehension Deficiency ?
JustJoe says:
" ........If there are only 30 vaquita porpoise in the ocean, it doesn't sound like that many drug cartels would be in the business".
The above would indicate that he is confused.
Given that the number of Vaquitas would have NOTHING to do with cartel involvement since they are the incidental victims of the
Totoaba pursuit.

It seems Mr Bill, only wants to come to this thread to engage in racism against Asians.
Not only is the word, "Oriental" outdated but it's derogatory.
It's similar to calling an African-American, a Negro, in this age.
The reason why the word is racist, is because it's associated with a time period when Asians were considered subordinate to whites.
One of the last pieces of legislation President Obama, signed was a bill that replaced outdated and inflammatory terms, like "negro," and oriental,"
and replaced those words with more modern Language.
No doubt the current racist, US President, will rescind that bill too, and adopt more inflammatory terms to call African-Americans, and Asians.
