Where did you see that name?
I think I remember seeing it, perhaps for Las Arrastras?
I just searched many of my old maps...

That is not what you have? It is just a zoom in of the H11D39 map. It is dated May 1993, however.
I just went to the INEGI web page and clicked on the area. (1:50,000 scale): http://www.beta.inegi.org.mx/temas/mapas/topografia/

I think some place names are humorous additions created by the author -- ever notice on the Baja Almanac Norte map book - pg. N24, along the coast are
Punta Kevino, Punta Howardo, Playa Bonita Kate, C. Butchero (@E1) and Pico Waltero (@ H3). Once Bob Vinton (bicyclist) showed me a Baja map with a
place name on it for him (can't locate it now). There's also an Estero Mike McMahon on S1 J2 ((SUR map book).

since this is on the government INEGI map, it would indicate that government can have humor

I just fumbled around to find the map you referenced. I did not figure out how to find all the other maps it before the Beta. Need t spend a little
more time to get familiar.

Landon (publisher of the Almanac) added many personal names to the base Mexican topo map.
Punta Baja Bob (Bob Vinton was a friend of Landon) is just north of Punta Blanco (Seven Sisters). Landon also put Casa Patchen in at Rancho Santa Ynez
(Marvin and Aletha Patchen's cabin), the subject of this book:
Graham Mackintosh was probably the most quoted guest there.
Of interest, my publisher (M&E BOOKS) has acquired the remaining inventory of Marv's books and has them for sale. Details forthcoming.

the new beta allows you to find topo maps without knowing the map designation (in this case H11D39)
the current official INEGI interface for searching maps requires you to know that number
there are some old copies of copies of hard to read maps lists out there
David posted some of them before
but no matter whether you use beta or the previous interface, you have to make choices when the available maps are shown
maps dated late 1980's or earlier are analog pdf's - an image of the old map put into pdf
late 1980's or newer are digital pdf's
they are great - they are searchable (type in the canyon you are looking for and it will be shown to you)
BUT, there are more choices. PDF,
GIF, TIF, SHP are for map pros with the appropriate software to read these files
PDF is for us normal people
I usually load the old analog version together with the new digital version
because the old analog version sometimes has more place names than the newer version

Try the INEGI link I have at www.VivaBaja.com as it is quick and no entering map numbers:
http://www.beta.inegi.org.mx/temas/mapas/topografia/
Click on the 1:50,000 scale and then the map has all the squares on it. Just click... and select PDF (typically) to see the map.
