Caravan Xing Mexicali 4/13 or 4/14, going South

Hi All, new to this forum but I used extensively before we made our first trip into Baja last year.

We'll be heading south between 4/13 and 4/14, haven't picked the date yet, and wanted to see if anyone was up for caravaning through the border. We plan on making it to Bahia San Luis Gonzaga the first night. Anyone can peel off or stay, but we're just most interested in caravaning in for the first few hours.

We recently upgraded our old VW van to a pretty nice campervan. I'm a little worried that our $100k+ van will be a target. Any opinions in driving an expensive car through northern Baja?

$100K VW van? You gotta be kidding. Let's see some pictures. I can't imagine what you could do that cost that much.

I guess you are on the road already and having a great time. Be as careful as you would anywhere, and you will be fine!

I think he/she upgraded FROM a VW to a $100K campervan.

Because I too would love to see what you could do with a VW for $100k!

Rusty shells of a 16 window vw van goes for 40k, it's easy to get into one and spend 100k . But would I take it to baja ?

Yes, looks like I misread. I know my old 1971 is probably worth some money today, if it's still on the road.
