La Pirata
Tio's
La Fogata

I've had good tacos at all of them

There is one place that is FAMOUS for taco Tuesdays...probably el Viejo?

you have to get there early because when they are done, they are done.

Come visit La Bocana

La Terraza de Germán, on Valentin Ruiz, the main road into town. This is a casual and friendly restaurant that uses quality ingredients.

thanks guys, will try El Viejo, hard to get in, always crowded, even this time of year.

Baja Utah, i did try Tio's, fishy fish, wilted lettuce, lousy salsa, so either we differ on taste, or i got there on a particularly bad night.

campestre - not bad, but not particularly memorable either

I'd guess bad night. My go to at Tio's is the fish and chips but I've had several taco meals there and been happy.

Still, I don't think any place can beat Taco Rossy in San Jose. I can't ever drive through town without stopping.

I think Fridays are chile relleno day at El Viejo ... in the winter you gotta be there before noon, right now things are more relaxed -- some friends got some well after noon a coupla weeks back.

The new "Beans & Rice" around the corner from Joe's Deli/Pitahaya is also quite good for tacos -- we just tried it a few days ago ...
