Airline Recommendation requested to La Paz

I've always driven the peninsula on a moto but the female side of the family would like to visit and will need a flight.

We can get to any major airport in the Western states pretty easily. So which airlines and which airport would you recommend?

Az, Cali, New Mexico are all options, NM probably not so much but she has family there. Oops almost forgot about Las Vegas as another option.

Thanks

No international flights. Have to fly from TJ.

Tons of low cost flights into Cabo from LAX.

I've been watching Cabo flights but I'd rather bring her in to La Paz. Real city, real people, I'm not a resort kinda guy.
I probably need a car to ferry around so it might end up being the best option.

If you can get her to San Diego, you can use the CBX (cross-border bridge at Otay Mesa into TJ airport). Direct flights from TJ to La Paz via Volaris or Calafia. It's a 2 hour flight from TJ. https://www.crossborderxpress.com/

If you want more info about the bridge, PM me. I use it frequently.

I'm definitely not saying to go to Cabo. Fly into Cabo and drive to La Paz. By far the cheapest and easiest, unless you can get to TJ.

Right, no international flights to La Paz. If you don't do TJ to La Paz on Volaris, you'll have to connect through Mexico City or Guadalajara to get to La Paz.

I have Mexican friends who swear by Interjet, but I have no personal experience with that airline. Delta/AeroMexico is another option which I have used and had a great flight.

Calafia flies direct TJ to La Paz as well. You might have to book on their site. It's a pretty good site.

I've flown that route with them and they are decent.

Thanks JZ. I always forget about Calafia. Seems they are trying to be more visible in that I've seen a few billboards for them around La Paz. Definitely worth looking into especially if their website is more user-friendly than the Volaris site!

I've tried to figure this out so many times. Bottom line, fly to Cabo from just about anywhere for pretty cheap. Rent a car from Cactus or Mexrentacar.com and drive east side up to La Paz and stop on the way and see neat stuff. Its easiest, cheapest and relatively quick.

Possible, but La Paz is closer to Cabo than to Loreto, and Cabo flights are more frequent (probably cheaper too).

Very easy drive to La Paz from Cabo airport
Go south on the toll road to Cabo San Lucas and then just loop on around through Todos Santos
Five bucks tolls
Four lane all the way
Drove the entire 250 miles loop yesterday
All good and easy
