It is on NBC Sports.... Dish 159
First stage showing today in less than an hour 3:30 p.m. PST

I set it last year to "record series" and sure enough, it is picking up the record program again this year....did not need to re-set record

Dakar. Why are they still calling it that?

Hoping for a return?
Typical corporate stubbornness?
Typical French stubbornness?

I'll await the answer, while having a Pisco Sour.

I have been watching last years race stages lately and yesterday's stage one on Youtube.

Good to know I can watch this on tv. The bigger the screen the better. Thanks.

There is never enough coverage of those beastly trucks. Amazing how they can get through the soft stuff in the dunes.

looks like a stage 2 win for Walkner with Brabec 2nd :bounce: and looks like Shorty in with a 9th!

Robby back in 24th severely dogged by speed control:(........

"They limited him to 80mph since he is in the SCORE class in the Cars group. He has more travel and HP than the other cars so they limited his speed. The other cars can go 120mph some of them."

Watched it tonight... they sure gave Casey Currie a lot of air time in the 30 min show (he rode with me in the helicopter in 2014 to get to a U.S. hospital after cutting the tip of his finger off surfing at Punta San Carlos).

I see that there are two 30 min shows Wednesday afternoon... DVR is set.

Yes, those are HUGE sand dunes... I love that!

Ricky get lost?
Someone on another site said Robby brought chopsticks to a gun fight. Thought that was pretty funny.

Glad short is doing well, always been a modest and likeable guy.

not sure what happened to Ricky, everyone struggled with the WP in dense fog, possibly stopped to help bang bang trapped at the bottom of the ravine?

on edit.....Barreda couldn't get out without the helicopter, his Dakar is over:(
