BCS los barilles/santa teresa highway - road condition

Can anyone tell me what this road is like from where it connects BCS 286 near Muertos and down as far as El Cardonal? And when did you last drive this section. Thanks.

Was over it a couple weeks ago and it was fine! Better than it has been, but there are only a couple spots on the way up that you may need wheel drive but other than that it is just an easy, beautiful trip! Once you get to El Cardonal it is paved, if that is the way you want to go. We came back to Mex one by following the first arroyo you come to, it was about five miles in the arroyo. Just stuff and more "Baja pin stripping"!!
