Green Scene, 2019
It is so green from Santa Rosalia to Tecate that we wondered where we were sometimes. The greenery is obliterating the rocky formations in many areas.
The desert is responding to the rain vigorously.
Good drive north, no surprises when paying attention to the road conditions. Big construction project descending into the old Ruta de Vino meant a
short delay today and the slow speeds into Santo Thomas.
Thorough, but professional inspection at San Ignacio. One soldier recieved instructions from a head set on next steps for inspection and guided a
trainee. Brief inspections at all the rest except in El Rosario and south of Maneadero where we were waved through.
A few familiar craters re-emerging in the road bed from Guerrero Negro to El Rosario to watch for. Nice to see new paving around Catavina. Pumps are
installed at Catavina convenience store, but are a ways from being operational.
Watery, muddy terrain off pavement from San Quintin to Tecate will take a bit to dry out. From outskirts of Tecate thriugh secondary in 30 minutes,
but zero wait time meant my annual churro feast will have to wait ‘til 2020.
Great time in Baja again...there is so much beauty everywhere and hope you find it where you are, too.

I believe that Pemex was in Camalu as we were well north of SQ. It rained a lot Tuesday night and there were puddles big and small all the way to
Tecate.

Not Los Pinos because there is a mountain range in the background indicating this is on the east side of the highway. I was guessing San Quintín
area, however...??

Thanks windgrrl... somewhere along there, for sure!
Hey, do you know why your Photobucket posts have their watermark on it? When I posted the link from your album, there is no watermark... ??
I noticed it on other's images but never on mine, TMW's, or a few other Photobucket users. Maybe it has to do with free vs. a paid in level?

Not sure about the water mark. Haven’t used the site for a while and the mark was a surprise. Will have to check it out because it blots out a good
portion of photos.

Interesting...the watermark showed up on my view of this page. I don’t have a subscription, so I wonder if the mark is a proprietary/marketing
strategy?

I would pay in at the lowest level and that will (probably) erase the watermarks?
You know there is a FREE site and easy sizing for Nomad postings (640 large or 800 max, pixels wide)... www.postimages.org and just click the one drop down menu for photo size. Use the posting for forums link to paste the images here... You can put
several images on one post and type in captions between them (as you could on Photobucket, too).

Spectacular desert -- thanks for sharing. Are bugs a problem, with the added moisture?
