What browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Mozilla Firefox? Other?

What Antivirus?

I need more to go on to be of assistance.

The red X disappears? Let me know more if you still need help. As Neal mentioned, browser-type would be of help to know.

internet explorer, xp home serv pack 2.
trend micro antivirus.
yes, the page fully loads and when i right click on the red X it disappears and the hourglass appears next to the pointer, but nothing happens. it didn't used to be a problem. up until maybe 4-5 days ago the pictures used to load in the posts, now it's back to the red X. i haven't made any software changes except antivirus updates.

Woody,

Which photos have the red x's? The avatars, the attachments, or both?

What about the emoticons (smileys)?

there is a red X inside a border underneath "so and so has attached this image".

BTW, the thread "Checkpoint" loads the photo and is the only photo i've seen in days.

thanks Doug!
