Painted Ladies are everywhere here!

I don't mean the over-priced over-valued Newport Beach kind.
I talking butterfly action.
How is the butterfly season going in Baja?

Saw a few in La Paz last week, but swarms in Borrego with all the wildflowers a couple of weeks ago.

For the past week there have been a gazillion Painted Ladies flying north near LAX.

What do they taste like? Like chicken?

As StuckSuck says, there were gazillions of them around LAX last week.

What a migration! Mother nature at her finest!

We do not have any butterflies flying around here in La Bocana. I think they will be here soon because the birds are having a feast in the bushes....we think they are after caterpillars but I haven't seen them myself.

There are, however, lots of bees. Les had a meeting with some of them recently.

Come visit La Bocana

Dead Painted Ladies

Traveling between home and Banning a half-dozen times in the last week, my windshield has terminated scores of them. I wish they'd be more careful. Their residue is a pain to remove.
