Instagram?

Why?
What is it used for?
Can I use it to post photos on BajaNomad with it?

What is a #.
Why is it used.

Most modern forums allow you put the link as "media." Some older ones that don't support that let you embed the entire HTML code. That doesn't seem to be possible here.

Posting link to the image is supported on this forum. Probably depends where the photo is hosted.

Here is link to the original location on somebody's page:

Same photo downloaded to my PC and hosted/uploaded to one of free hosts:

For the record, those are images "tagged" #bajacalifornia (by any IG user - not an individual account).

Besides tags, there are location pages.... from various users who've indicated that location for the image. Examples:

They don't allow hotlinks with the source URL of the images. I'm unable to encourage downloading the images to upload them here.

Patience for the moment on this. Thank you.

So the short answer is NO, you can't use Instagram photos for Nomad posting? ;D:saint:

The scorpion pics are no good because you can`t see the tail. The truck pics are much better because you can see.

Other than seeing pictures of hot women, I don't see what Instagram is good for.

If you were not aware, Instagram is a big data mining company owned by Facebook, all part of that social media cesspool.

Yes, but it is infinitely better than Facebook or Twitter.

Good for pics of places you want to travel too. And pics of dogs and stuff.

What I have found so far is Instagram can only show photos taken on your phone? Is there no way to post pics from your PC?
I also need to learn how to post videos I took of Curt LeDuc driving Baja roads from the passenger seat.
I am still decompressing from the trip... In time, I will get it figured out... or not!

Not straightforward to post from a non-mobile device but this works - https://www.hopperhq.com/blog/how-to-post-to-instagram-from-...
