Marlin in BOLA?
Is what I saw on FB correct? Smallish marlin in the 50ish pound range along with small dorados.
I don't recall ever knowing one caught unless the boats traveled well south and past La Guardia.

Hi Jim,
Mando ('Mothership') from BahÃa de los Angeles sent me this photo:
A sailfish caught out of L.A. Bay.

A couple of years ago while pre-dawn Kayak fishing with my wife, one came casually swimming past us. Almost lethargic in its motion we paddled with it
for a few yards and then it disappeared below the surface.
We had heard the netters close in all night and surmised that it might have been injured in a net. This was right off the camping area in Papa's on
Gonzaga Bay.

The door was sort of open for anomalies or changing trends that might be presenting itself with the appearance of fish out of normal range as a
subject.
Why not provide an additional observation that fits the notion of quizzical anomalies especially when the context is within the physical boundaries of
the poster?
Or does that just get your undies in a bundle?

As I said in the post, the photo is from another Nomad, emailed to me. I help Nomads who don't yet post photos.
It is a billfish, like a Marlin. That is why I bet he thought it may be applicable. Now, is there anything else I can assist you with today, amigo?

David, ease up on a Chuckie a little. I've been reading his post and he's a little slow, soft in the head.
