Colorado River Camp? Campo Ramona / Yurimuri / San Miguel / El Capitán?
Driving Mexicali to San Felipe a couple weeks ago, on a whim I decided to drive out on a random road leading east from Highway 5 out to the Colorado
River. I found what looks like an abandoned tourist camp. GPS: 32.0385, -115.2076
Anyone know the story of this place?
There were lots of birds making all kinds of sounds, a dock, various cinder block buildings (not pictured), mesquite trees, and some faded signs
alongside structures seemingly built for tourists - like the conical mud & wood structure.

Nice photos, would love to know the back-story. I'm sure it's interesting...
I bet there's Catfish in that water .....or at least crappie ...
Note to self, if'n things get TOO crazy in Los Angeles need to Bug-out there . Water source, food and shelter, a nice TeePee,,,,

Very cool I have been interested in that area on my way to my house in Gonzaga. With the water levels from the Colorado River, the local and gringo
tourism it is a very eclectic area

Very close. Less than 2 miles east of Highway 5.
