Univ TX says 211 students went to Mexico, 49 caught COVID-19

'Forty-nine students at the University of Texas have tested positive for the coronavirus after traveling to Cabo San Lucas, the school said Friday night. They were among more than 200 students who traveled to the Mexican resort town over spring break.

The total number of positive cases might rise in the coming days as more students are tested, UT officials said.'

And the bummer is, is that they most assuredly had a hand in helping bring it to Mexico. No way they were all healthy when they left and contracted it in Cabo.

Imagine having to deal with the Corona virus and V.D. at the same time! :o:no:

It's hard to say who infected whom and when. If they all flew back together there is a high chance that they infected one another in the aircraft.

It's actually highly likely they caught it in Cabo. You have Austin vs. a crowded vacation destination with people arriving via plane and cruise ships (Covid19 incubators that were still amazingly allowed to arrive at that time) from all over the world. Packed together in clubs, gross hotel rooms and the beach, drunk.

They still shouldn't have gone. They knew the risk. It was widely known it was in the Western Hemi at that point.

Most logical answer I've seen on BN for quite a while!
