New Hwy. 5 paving San Felipe Marina to Airport Jcn.
Spotted this on Facebook just now... Still real narrow, but new asphalt was needed!

What, no more sand filled potholes?
Wasn't like that 2 weeks ago, but will be greatly appreciated.
The roughest stretch of hwy to percebu, was that stretch.

Nice black top, but still not a trace of a shoulder on that section. Look at the drop off from the pavement down on the lower left of the photo.
If two rigs pulling boats meet at that point, they both better be highly skilled drivers! Do you think they will be painting centerlines and side
stripes soon?
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Looks very much like all of Hwy 1 did back in the day and somehow we managed.

Fantastic! Best news I have heard all year! Yahoo! Yee Haw!
Woke!
“...ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.” “My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America
will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

I hope the stretch from the marina to the first gas station will be included as that section needs help. I guess that stretch is in the so called
municipality so was omitted from the state improvement described. I hope that bad section will get new pavement.

Just drove that Road two days ago.
A small section just before the intersection to the airport was done with a new asphalt top. The rest of the road into San Felipe downtown with all
those nasty potholes has not being touched.
Hwy 5 to the intersection with Hwy 1 was just perfect, a wonderful drive. Not much services along the road, and not much large truck traffic either.
With out the road improvements through San Felipe or a new road around the city, we might not see heavy traffic for a while.

Just a short section...don't get too excited. And no equipment there as of Saturday either.
