Cabo resort info
Looking to go to the Best Western Posada Real Los Cabos resort. If you have stayed there can you tell me how nice the beach is? Can we snorkel out
front? How far from downtown Cabo san Lucas is it located? Is it a family oriented place with kids running around? Any other info is greatly
appreciated.

It is not in San Lucas. It is in San Jose. So it is 45 k from your hotel to San Lucas. It is one of the oldest hotels here but has been well
maintained. Many of my friends do package deals there for the minimum days and then come stay with us for the rest of their visit.
Forget snorkeling.
I would definitely not even recommend swimming there! My husband and I got caught by a rogue wave one afternoon and almost bought the farm(what in
the world does that mean anyway?!?!?) And I will tell you that we are pretty savvy about the waters here. We sit and watch the waves for at least 15
minutes and count the waves in the sets...etc before we decide to go in but that day...well.
It seems to me that there are all kinds of people there. But as for being family oriented, I dont know.
Most of my friends have said that the food was passable, but never ate dinner there, just breakfast or lunch.
Everyone says it is one of the best deals here for the budget minded.
Rent a car and go whereever you want.

South of town in Carbos SJ by the habor, as you drive into the fishing boat beach area...there is a real nice little hotel. Has a store next to it.
Judy...you know / got the name of that placer. I thought It be perfect for a family vacation spot.
Not that Hilton stuff.

Brian, It is a decent hotel, swimming pool is nice with a swim up bar. The food is good especialy the chips and guacamole from the snack bar by the
pool. Victor's pangas has an office there. The beach is very steep with a big shore break. Rough water and strong current.
You can catch the bus into Cabo for about a buck. 30-45 minute ride. The bus stops running back to san Jose around 10:00pm so check the times if
you want to come back later. A cab ride will run around $25 last time I was there. Cab rides into San Jose from the hotel were 50 pesos but probably
have gone up a few. A walk back from San Jose will be about 45 minutes pass the time by getting an ice cream in town before the walk back to the
posada. I've taken my family there a few times. Who are you fishing with ? I'll be down there June 13th staying in Cabo though. Let me know Paul.

Yes it is La Playita. However you definitely do not want to stay there as 100's of trucks go by there everyday moving earth for the new marina. Last
week they were actually digging right in front of the hotel.
I agree with tunaeater that Posada Real would be a fine place to stay. None of my friends have complained about anything.

How far do I need to go to get to a swimming/snorkeling area. Are there bars/nightlife in the area, San Jose?
