My yearly question , how is road in have they fixed enough to pull 5th wheel in. Thanks Cliff

Here is the last comment I remember seeing:

It's a heavily traveled road, and I don't think there were massive rains this year, so I'd guess it's in very good shape.
Now taking a 5 wheel down it, not sure about that from a length standpoint. But if you've done it before, I'm sure you could do it again.
If it was me, I'd unhook and drive it with the truck first. At least until you hit the coast and before swinging South to AV.

My passenger in 2001 was scared on that road, in my Tacoma, not towing! Hairpin turns, blind curves, steep drop offs... Unless they blasted a wider
road, I sure wouldn't take a trailer or 5th wheel down it!

I was there in March 2020 just before the RONA started shutting stuff down and the road is exactly the same then as always. I would never pull a large
pull / 5th trailer to AV ... if you haven’t been there you should go on a day trip and evaluate it for yourself ... we camped on the beach for 10
days ... it was super quiet and gorgeous.

Thanks Tim for confirming it is the same as I saw it almost 20 years ago! I drove to the top of the grade for photos 3 years ago. The only change to
that point was 10 kms of pavement added from Hwy. 1.

there are 3 close to 180 degree turns - the most narrow one has 80 feet from outside shoulder to outside shoulder. I drew in a 36 ft 5th wheel. Good

I've never taken a trailer in there but I never thought it was that bad driving my full size chevy truck and my Tacoma. I think the road down the hill
to Timbabichi was much more exciting.

Green Tortoise had a camp down there for many years. When the used school busses, they drove down with them. When they switched to a larger bus, they
parked it at the Cuesta and made everyone hike down. That might be an indication that a 5th wheel is not a good idea.

In the late 90's we were headed down the road in my extended cab 8' bed pickup and the tightest hairpin was a 5 point turn and the general condition
of the road was no bueno which made it a nice adventure. A bit further down the green tortoise bus was heading up and they stopped at a wide spot so
we could squeeze by. Most of the 'customers' were walking along next to bus and we wondered if it was underpowered or they lacked confidence in the
operator?
Agua Verde is top 2-3 places to hang out in Baja. IMHO.

Tropical Storm dropped up to 7 inches of rain in Southern Baja in july I believe. We had 3 to 4 inches in Pescadero over 12 hrs...how much rain fell
in Loreto?? Genevieve.

Thanks everyone, I keep hoping cat and grader go down the road. Spent several days there on a nice boat. Love to go back and stay a couple weeks.

Road is always in good shape. A grader isn't going to get rid of the switch backs.

Friend just came back from there yesterday, he drives a Mazda3... so road is in good shape, I would not advise pulling a big ass trailer down there
though

That is a quote from my post. Let me elaborate further:
The road to Agua Verde was in good enough shape for a Suburban and smalltent trailer, however I wouldn't even attempt to navigate that
road with a 5th wheel trailer regardless of road condition.
Even with recent grading and nice new guard rails, some of the turns are simply too tight and the road is so narrow in spots that even gentle curves
become an issue for a long load.
Agua Verde isn't the place for 5th wheels. That's part of what makes it the fabled Agua Verde.

Personally I would NOT pull a trailer of any size down or back up that road. Especially a 5th wheel of any size. There is that one section, you must
know the one in my mind, where the road is constantly being worked on by hand pouring the concrete. Dirt bag camping is the best way to go down there.
But that is my opinionated opinion. 😄
