Interesting route too. Skipping Erindira and going up El Mano or the summit.

I just spoke with someone with BFG and they are not officially in for the race. Is this an old map?

It appears they will race up El Mono and meet Hwy 3 about 8 miles northwest of Independencia.

Agree but It is called Mano.
Last spring I took some friends over Mano and found a good trip. Easy drive.
Looks like the track then goes N to Cabuzsco then E and S on the lake bed.

What about the weight of the engine/transmission/fuel tank? That will offset a lot of battery weight.
I’m thinking about pulling the 427 out of my Shelby Cobra and going with this package.😁

Oop sorry about that. I'm surprised DK didn't catch it and send me to the corner.

Yes, however I might be a good to show on you map the track we use now - down hill in Enmedio drainage to Mano Jct. Thus persons won't get into the
issue with the rancher and his locked gate and new fences.
And if you show the summit on you maps which was the original route that summit is not securely locked with no bypass. Access by the land owner could
possibly be arranged , but I do not have his contact info.

Course will change
One thing I am fairly certain of. The course will change quite a bit. Some racers have expressed concern that these two large loops stretch their
chase teams resources.
So I will speculate that the southern coastal loop RM 200-250 may get deleted and mileage added elsewhere.
I also heard that the new Ford Bronco will give another shot at the B1K.

Since prerunning starts Oct 24 the GPS files should be available now, but they are not.
My guess is look for the files no later than friday pm or saturday.

Agree with Steekers, the map is is not good enough to be very helpful and I too expect changes like they always do.
Per SCORE website "Oct 24 Race course is now for prerunning" (Oct 24). However the GPS files are still not posted.
Anyway the missing GPS files should be available shortly.
My guess is look for them on Friday PM or Saturday.
