Has anyone used "Good Sam" Roadside service plan in Baja?

Now that I have a travel trailer, I'm considering my options for roadside service (I'm a long-time Autoclub member)

I just saw that the "Good Sam" Club offers services in Mexico!
"Towing & Roadside Services in Mexico, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands"

https://www.goodsamroadside.com/compare/index.cfm

So- are any Nomads Good Sam members?
Have you made use of their services for cars, RVs, trailers, SUVs etc. in Baja?
If so: how did it work out?

Thanks for any advice!

checking with Good Sam directly...

I'll call to confirm Baja service.
Still interested if anyone has used them.

My parents used them for many Mexico adventures, but that was so long ago that nothing I know about the organization would apply. I look forward to any info you come up with.

Details re:Good Sam membership & Roadside assistance

I called the Good Sam office (in Colorado)- the employee acknowledged that service in Baja is not guaranteed.

However: they will reimburse the cost of the expenses incurred for towing (both truck and trailer) and tire & wheel repair/replacement in case of breakdown.

Under the plan I purchased ("Platinum"), they also include emergency medical referral and evacuation benefits- services I always hope I will never need, but I am willing to pay for- especially now when their rates are discounted 50%.

Finally: They will refund a pro-rated amount if I decide it's not the right plan at some point during membership.

So for anyone planning to travel with an RV/trailer in the US/Canada/Mexico, and want emergency medical services/transportation, along with coverage for roadside repairs: you may want to consider this option.

Here are the details on services available: https://www.goodsamroadside.com/compare/index.cfm

Road Hazard + Emergency Medical & Travel Assistance Benefits*

Emergency Medical Referral Service
Emergency Medical Evacuation
Repatriation of Remains
RV/Vehicle Return after a qualifying medical event

More Emergency Travel & Medical Assistance Benefits (details in PDF brochure)
Road Hazard Tire Replacement Coverage
Road Hazard Wheel Replacement & Repair
More Tire & Wheel Road Hazard Benefits (details in PDF brochure).

Note: If you are a Costco member- you can purchase a 1-year Good Sam Roadside Assistance plan for $55- but it is NOT for RV's/trailers.

https://www.costco.com/1-year-good-sam-roadside-assistance-p...

All other memberships are here- currently at a 50% discount:

Sounds like a good deal for the money. It would be easier to take care of the problem and get reimbursed later anyway. You are never alone in Baja, someone will always stop, probably a Mexican but maybe an American.

Agree- often you can get help from the locals, and the cost is negotiable.

But now that I have a trailer as well as a truck, I might need to hire additional help to get both back on the road or towed to safety.

One of those "better to have and not need vs. need and not have" options.
