playas toll booth

Looong lines, folks who live in the playas are now off the hook for toll fees, this extends south to san marino (baja malibu) so that means proof of residence is required. eventually when everyone is signed up they'll use the iave lane but in the meantime you might want to use the free road or even go up to Otay. :D

Long lines: Is this for Ensenada bound traffic? Do you know why?
Thanks.

OMG, you must be kidding... wait or just pay a few pesos and keep moving!

The toll booth was closed, ie. free, my last time south on 1-D. The governor or some politician said the highway was long ago paid in full, so no more collecting toll money!?

this is just for the tijuana playa booth....its always been unfair to both rosarito and playa residents. AMLO was in town and addressed the issue over the weekend, seems odd he would get involved with all the huge issues tijuana faces:rolleyes: but he did! so like I said these folks will now go thru the IAVE lane free of charge, until everyone's signed up there'll be back-ups I suppose.

Why don't the Playas people exit before the toll gate...? The main exit has always been off the free section from Tijuana. They even moved the toll booth south a ways from the original location.

ahhhh, gotcha! Playas doesn't want to drive east, access the Libremiento de Tijuana to the Free Road south to go south. That toll booth needs to go!
