Loreto restaurant

Morning everyone. I would like to get a gift certificate from one of the restaurants in loreto for a friend for Christmas.

How about some ideas.

Thanks looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this .

The restaurant that is literally across from the front of the Mission is really good. I don’t know the name but you step down into it and it’s right there at the Mission and it has a really pretty fire pit and super good food, it’s a a bit upscale for Baja. Imo

Domingo’s Steak House. My favorite spot in Loreto. We go pretty much every time we visit.

It's very good.

M.O.D might be talking about Mi Loreto.

I would suggest Mi Loreto or Alma del Sur. Alma del Sur, who would of thought that Loreto would have excellent USA southern food and very good at that!

Had high expectations last Spring for Orlando's. Dinner and breakfast next day was just OK.

Lunch at Los Olivos at La Mision hotel was exceptional. Ideal gift certificate. They have a Grill and Cantina that could work. Love this place.

I hate it when there isn't consistency with a restaurant's food... We are always willing to give them a pass or two... Maybe the regular chef was off?

There are a few Nomads who live in Loreto area who go to these places more than my one time every several years! Orlando's was just phenomenal when Nick and I ate dinner there and I loved the tropical style atmosphere. We ate with Phil C in 2009 at a pretty high end place by the plaza... He would need to give you the name or check my trip report from then (why Baja Nomad rocks, to find info from years ago). Who remembers McLulu's? Casual Loreto food that rocks!

ALL MY VOTES ARE FOR Mi Loreto.

Romantic.

So safe in these viral times with tables super spaced apart.

Absolutely delicious.

I did a review here not too long ago.

I got curious and for sure we have to check out Mita Goumet.

Mita Gourmet - Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico
https://www.yelp.com/biz/mita-gourmet-loreto
Mita's Gourmet is a must visit when in Loreto! If you are tired of the tourist trap type of places and enjoy great food, this is the place to be. Bring your appetite, but don't show up starving. The Chef Juan Carlos comes to the table to talk to each one of his guest, discussing the menu and customizing the dishes based on each individual.
