Rain today Jan 20, 2021? weather reports, pls

We were expecting rain and wind but it was not so. Been really calm with breezes, temps cooler but comfortable, huge waves with dolphins, but no rain so far at 3:35 pm.

How about in your neck of the woods?

Here is a pic my friend took yesterday, right here in front of our house in the tiny village of La Bocana (near punta abreojos for those who are not familiar)

Rain on an off since yesterday in SF, much colder too. Forecast over 3" over the next 10 days as of yesterday afternoon. I'm thinking green ocotillos and hopefully carpets of wildflowers in the coming weeks.

Here in the East Cape, we have had light rain on and off today, with somewhat heavier rain yesterday evening and overnight. No wind to speak of. Gray with sprinkles ahorita ...

Today, in San Diego County, they predicted rain and strong winds... but instead the sun is shining! There is a brush fire in Rancho San Diego now, however.

Great photo!

A few years ago I was surfing Mission Beach in SD, took off on a shoulder-high wave, and had a dolphin drop-in in front of me. Completely distracted me from what I was doing as I was fascinated by the dolphin just under the surface riding the wave. After about 5 or 10 seconds and I saw it jump out the back of the wave, just after that I got absolutely smashed by the lip of the wave as it closed out on me. Still one of my favorite experiences surfing.

Include photos! They are so beautiful. Still waiting for the rain ... and i purposefully did NOT water my garden. I told Les, maybe I should water it so that it does rain!

Wind finally died down. Was able to have a fire on the back patio last night.

The weather has been so mild where I am in Nevada County, that I only build a fire every evening. Normally in January I would let the fire burn down once or twice a week to empty the ashes, then build another one.

Sure would be good to get a few storms come ashore here to replenish the snow pack and water sources. It is just so hard to root against beautiful weather!

My wife and I drove from Yuma to GN on Tuesday, from GN to Constitucion on Wednesday and then to Los Cabos on Thursday.

We never saw the sun once from Yuma to La Paz and it rained non-stop from San Felipe to almost La Paz. Steady, non-stop rain the whole way. Hopefully the agricultural zones were happy to get the rain!

Periods of moderate to heavy rain in south San Clemente.
Flower garden, showing a splash of mid winter color, is loving it.
Great for the Baja desert and spring bloom too. Looking forward to that display.
