bringing used digital piano to baja-pay duty ?


Hi
I am planning to rent a place for a year in baja , and i plan to bring
in with me a used 88 keys digital piano in my SUV . Am i going to have to pay import duty on it when i cross at the san ysidro border ?

No, you can bring music instruments, one of each, just not too many. Explain your in THE BAND

Maybe think about the time you'll be bringing it back to the USA. You should have the original receipt with you, or at least, a copy of it.

I have crossed in and out of Baja several times with two guitars and amps.....never an issue....

Rig up a 12 v adapter power cord (it wouldn't have to work) and tell them it is your camp piano! :light:
