Temp Resident leaving Baja by land...

I know this has been covered 1000 times. But we cross back over to the US tomorrow for a little while and I wanna be 100% sure.

While leaving by plane, Perm and Temp Residents have to fill out the immigration FMM, the airline keeps half and you turn in the other half upon returning to Mexico....
However, when departing over the land border, we don't do any of that right? We just leave and when we come back, just drive right on through and make sure that we have our Temp resident card with us? Is that the correct procedure?

I would have searched but our wifi in this hotel is terrible I'm lucky if this posts. Plus somebody else will need to know and when they search, they'll find this post! Yay!

Note: This is not a question about tourist FMMs.

Thank you!

Mood: I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
