Los Vientos BOLA

Just thought I would give my two cents as an update on Los Vientos

Just got back from a three-night stay.
The Good:
-Good customer service
-They make ice so it's readily available for $2/bag of good potable cubes
-They have a large walk-in freezer for your use ($10.00/night fee). However, it didn't get to freezing for our fish.
-Reliable electricity
-Good food at their restaurant
-Decent pool. However, the pool bar section was flooded which was a little troubling (possible mosquito problem and just not pleasant)
-They seem to be making additions and improvements showing commitment from owners
-They have a nice boat that they charter. We didn't use it but saw other guests on it
-Seemed to be very secure in the compound

The could be better & other considerations:
-It's about as far from the boat ramp as could be BOLA proper
-The two-story unit we stayed in was a bit small and while it's nice enough, I wonder how the construction will hold up. Not sure how the cabins by the water are. I would have liked to see them.

Overall, I would not hesitate to tow our boat down and stay here again. Prices are about what we expected and consistent with places like Vill Vida.

Thanks for the info!

Where are they located on the bay?

Follow the paved road, left at the sailboat round-about, and head towards La Gringa, 2.9 paved miles, just after Campo La Ventana and before the navy base:

Los Vientos is on my map:

Thanks for the confirmation, that is about where I thought it might be.

One of theses days, I will get my 50s vintage boat down there!

We have stayed there several times since William and Rosa bought it.
They continue to make improvments each year...and the beach front rooms are the best!! They are great people...

Thanks. There were some really negative reviews in the past, so it is nice to see a turn around.

From their website it looks like it ranges from $110 - 150/ night for most rooms.

The house looks 3x that.

Very nice write up. We've driven down to the hotel but haven't stayed before.

How was the AC in the rooms?

AC was legit. It got the room down to too cold.

Sweet! I'll definitely give it a shot the next time we visit.

Will their panga pick you up right from the beach there?

Just stayed there for $80 a night, quoted higher initially. Rosa is awesome. Ramon took me out fishing, caught tons of fish. Nice big room, very clean. Alan in the restaurant made sure everything was right. Dolphins playing just off the beach during breakfast. Secure parking. Multiple people cleaning the grounds every morning. The employees said the owners treated them very well and they loved working there. You can just sit there with your morning coffee to your evening drinks at the bar and enjoy the views or catch tons of fish or explore the area by boat, 4x4, or motorcycle. It's super chill and a super beautiful area. I'll be back. My blood pressure lowers just thinking about it.
