Matilde's Restaurant San Felipe Mexico
Madi Kennedy visits Matilde's Restaurant and writes about her experience.
Front row seat ocean view, a Mexican (and American) breakfast and dinner menu, there’s not much you will want for after a trip to this favorite of
tourists and local residents alike. Read article....

I know avocados are going up in price, but 3.50 usd ( read article) for a slice would send me to a taco stand anyday! traveling through next month
and may check out but will probably leave if its true that much for a slice of green.

I have a friend that owns a house in a Ocampo on the beach, that has lived in San Felipe for almost 25 years. San Felipe used to be a thriving
community when it was cheap to live there. People put up with a lot of things, as it was worth it.
But he tells me that San Felipe has gotten a LOT more expensive so people have moved elsewhere. ( He told me this several years ago.)
He's been trying to sell his house for over 8 years now, and no buyers.
And it's a damn nice house !
But I told him , any house WILL sell for the right price. He can't handle taking THAT big a loss on it.
As for that restaurant , " I'll Pasadena " !
Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

F*ck it.

I saw a menu on Facebook from a new gringo restaurant in Rosarito Beach. All prices are in dollars.
A cheeseburger is $15, but it's special, handmade, and french fries are included.

In-n-out combo (animal style, yum) is under $7.

My local tienda in the Ejido has a little eatery on the side and you get that for 90 pesos, make it a double for 140 p.

THAT'S MY kind of place !
Any place in Mexico that charges in dollars is usually a rip-off ...
And NOT authentic...

I think it is French toast with a side of huevos revueltos....
In the video with the woman, she says "the machacha is like roast beef"....
Well, any machaCa I have has ranges from old shoe leather to chewy shredded beef.... best ever was for breakfast in an omelette in San Bartolo.
Don't believe everything you think....

At this restaurant, you can order Mediterranean and Mexican dishes. Be sure to try the deliciously prepared quesadillas if you visit this restaurant.
I, like many guests, can say that the staff at Matilde Restaurant is welcoming. You will find that the service here is not bad. And most of all, the
prices are completely reasonable for each holidaymaker. That's why it's rated 4.4 on Google. But still, in first place among my visits, I would put
the restaurant Riwa. There I felt like in paradise. You can get there as well without any problems. Especially on their website https://www.riwa-restaurant.de/de/, everything is specified in more detail.

This picture shows weird looking food. Looks like plain scrambled eggs, fried chicken and a few tiny slices of fruit. And the plating is uninspired.
Fried chicken and fruit is a weird combo.

Both the original poster, and Yaleseling33 are posting here for the first time - and almost assuredly work at or own the restaurant - this is their
way of advertising!

My experience
The place is very crowded for the evening meal with slow service and loud music. Go early and have a better time.
