G Negro Cedros Ensenada and back by plane Nov 2021

I just took a quick 5 day trip to San Diego to give my Mom some needed moral support to deal with the 2nd anniversary of my littlest sister's death.

Flew from Guerrero Negro to Cedros and on another plane continued to Ensenada. Once in Ensenada, I asked the pilot, 'When does the continuation to San Diego start?" I am on my way right now he answered., I never saw this option on their site and I was floored. He said he needed at least an hour to add me on and he was leaving right away.

4567$%^fghj^&*(!!!!!!! I was so bummed. So I cabbed it to the bus station, bused it to TJ, walked across (this was on 11-5-21) and there was absolutely no one in line to cross into the US on foot. It took me all of 3 minutes to head over to the Jack in the Box where I was to be picked up.

Sweet!

I wanted to surprise my Mom so I had negotiated a deal with her neighbors literally across the street from her where I would stay 5 days with them in exchange for them coming to La Bocana this December for the first time. They own a home in San Juanico (Peter and Mimi) and although they have been to Punta Abreojos since he surfs, they have never been over here.

Nicest couple ever and come to find that they are big wooooos neighbor!

Last night we saw Mikey and Val from San Juanico at our beach restaurant (I arrived home in the afternoon yesterday from San Diego) and they also know Peter/Mimi/big wooo.

Here are some photos from the trip - all mixed up between Cedros Ensenada and Guerrero Negro.

This was just the leg from Ensenada to Cedros, all the other flights were 100% full with 13 passengers. Cost is $2500 one way from GN to Ens.

Continuation: Of course I wanted to start my return trip via San Diego Brown field so I contacted ASG (AERO SERVICIO GUERRERO) about adding on this part....well....to my utter surprise, the flight only leaves Brown field 2 hours after the Ensenaga plane leaves. I don't get it but there you have it!

The original schedule called for me to be in Ensenada at 10 since the flight left at 11 am. Peachy keen. The night before I get a text that I have to be at the airport at 8:30 am for a 10 am flight. I text back that this is impossible. I will arrive at 9:30 earliest for the 10 am flight. The airport is miniscule so I knew this was not an issue.

I arrive in TJ a little before 7, but a bus ticket for 7 am to Ensenada which would get me there at 8:45. Seven o'clock rolls by, no bus. 7:05. 7:10. at 7:15 I explain to the counter person that I have a flight to catch. They call the driver and he is stuck in traffic and does not know when he will arrive in TJ.

Time for plan B. Went to the other bus station and their earliest bus was at 9.

Scratch that idea.

I ended up taking a cab to Ensenada which cost $100. The cab driver flew (pun intended) so I actually arrived early for the flight.

Glad to be home! Perfect weather and now to start packing again to empty out the house LOL

Very nice! Wiki says they fly Cessna 208s. Is the pic of the breakwater from Cedros Island?

No mountains next to Guerrero Negro. You guys can use Google Earth and look down over the two and see for yourselves.
