Parnelli Jones talks about racing in Baja
(PJ actually broke the Bronco in 1970, but won the 1000 in '71 & '72 + Baja 500 wins)

Thanks David--great video!
I was lucky enough to get to pre-run with Parnelli a couple times, after he had stopped racing himself. He is super friendly and down to earth, and
may have invented the technique of "radio passing around blind curves."
Bill Stroppe was perhaps the first master builder of off-road vehicles and the early years owed a lot to his innovation.

Very cool, 100X!
I was so lucky to be next to his trailer in Ensenada, when he returned form pre-running, the day before the '73 1000. Have you seen those photos I
took (I was 16) of Big Oly and PJ with Dick Russell?

Yes, they are very cool.
Parnelli used to also make it to his grandkids' so-cal go kart races once in a while.

This photo is from the static display at SCORE International’s “40 Years to Glory” in 2007, a wing-ding at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center
commemorating the 40th running of the Baja 1000. Parnelli Jones was not part of the static display.
