What I enjoy most about these Tsunami warnings is the TV press coverage wherein they do their best to stir up FEAR.

Winner on this one was the gal on CNN who warned that "even if the wave is only ONE Foot high, that one foot could knock you off your feet and drag you out to sea".

Scary, Huh ?

Watched several interesting videos of the waves hitting the coast.

Was thinking if you were anchored out on Santa Cruz island it wouldn't be fun if you didn't hear the warning and depending on the anchorage.

1 foot surge in a constricted channel makes a pretty good flow. that's why you saw some docks ripped up in California from tsunami.

In Orange county where the news gal made the comment and the beaches were all closed ................... NADA.

Reading one surfer's comment that he was excited and then disappointed summed it up.

Saw there was an oil tanker in Chile that had some issues with the tsunami, so it just depends on location.
