I broke down in San Felipe and had to be towed to the border, the company was from the wrecking yard in San Felipe, don't recall his name. Cost was $600.0. One caveat; he towed me to the east border crossing but would not tow across the border. He unhooked and left. Could not find anyone to help. Eventually jury rigged enough to cross border for AAA to meet me in the secondary line. Very religious experience.

I checked and found the name of the AAA tow, he said that he had done recoveries in Mexico, however not sure if he still does it.

What is wrong with the truck? Maybe there is help in town here.

Yes, if you can, get it fixed in Baja for a fraction of the cost.

Call Kiki's campground in San Felipe and talk to Kiki, I'm sure he can find you a person or he might be able to help you out. I know there are some Canadians that winter there and he had a truck and trailer, his name is Bruce. Good luck and post up the outcome.

Kiki hooked me up when the transmission blew up on me south of SF. He had a shop come down from Mexicali, dolly the truck up there, used factory Toyota parts and fluids to rebuild the trans and deliver the truck back to me at Kiki's in 7 days. I also payed 1/10th of what I would have paid back home.

PS, Bruce is the man as well.

Cheers
