after a dozen years averaging 140 peso's for 2 months my last bill went up to a whopping 250! I totally blame the air fryer.

My last bill was 668 Kws for 304 pesos and my GF and kids were here for a good part of that month and they don't mind using the AC. They have not been here in over a month, I turn one AC on about 6 pm then turn it off when I go to bed and turn the one in the bedroom on and it runs till I get up, doing the same last month but with GF, kids.

Yesterday I went and paid the bill and it was 1666 Kws for 1103 pesos. I'm thinking there is no way I used 998 more Kws by myself this month. The funny thing is that last month they show a 1 month billing cycle but this month they show a 2 month billing cycle but do show the credit for payment last month.

I think on Monday they have some 'splainin to do on how they figure this. Maybe they need to make up for all the good deals they are giving elsewhere.

show us a copy of your bill to better understand
CFE has quite a complex pricing structure

my last bill was $7,191 pesos (my airbnb guests run the AC 24/7)

My PG&E bill this month was $37.15 for electricity, and $8.54 for natural gas.

I did get a CARE discount ($22.00) for being a senior citizen on a fixed retirement income, but I am also very conservative with my use.

Some places have a summer high heat Aportacion, or Gov support for extreme heat and AC which can be 90% of the bill. Depending if you don't go over the rate during the rest of the year, the aportacion can continue year round. Check the bill closely and check CFE site to better understand.

Ours, paid by our neighbor/manager in La Bocana, was the same low rate as usual.

I wish my living cost like yours. 21 years W.LA rancho park even the trash contract w city . At 66 bucks a month not good service in my city but free. Or 3 bucks for independent pick up. I think what got me the most angry. Mandatory dog lic 80 bucks a dog? I did in fact call them about that. Since I gave home to 3 homeless lage dogs. I asked what is the 80 bucks for? They said its for dog tag I then asked if my dog lost . You find then you call me with his tag return dog for free? :D they said no another 120 dollars you pick up. So a one dollar tag 80 bucks sorry you need do something for the money. Ok 21 years never PD dog lic.

CFE are a bunch of bumbling idiots. they have no consistency between bills and how they calculate the bill.

One question I have is what is the "tarifa" for a house? My bill says 1F.
I know that makes a huge difference because the shop is GDMTO and it is a lot more spendy but I don't know what a house tarifa should be. It looks like they are doing my house bill as a commercial account and surprisingly, at the office they can't explain what is going on.

Yeah, thanks for the input Mr Greenjeans but some of us don't have the means or the inkling to be all greenie goodie goodie two shoes. Im just wondering about my CFE tarifa and the link Lencho put up provided the answer, thanks Lencho.

Oh, and I weld and machine for as long as I want whenever I want on a 3 phase 460V system I built.

No choice but to live off the grid! No CFE around here! What do you have in the way of machine tools that require 3 phase 480 VAC. You fabricating shrimp trawlers?
