I've recently read a report in a BC newspaper about street drugs (tablets) cut with fentanyl that are made to look and packaged like pharmaceuticals.
Could be the cause.
I doubt any Nomads buy that kind of stuff, but if so, stop.

It is pouring over the wide open border into the US. Fentanyl poisonings are the #1 cause of death for ppl under 45. Kills more than suicide, car
accidents, and Covid, combined.
It doesn't take much more than a pin head to kill someone. They are selling it using Snapchat to teenagers.
The media is hardly saying a peep about it. We have told our kids over and over you can't do street drugs. It's literally like playing Russian
roulette.

Most all illegal drugs are street drugs. Even if you get your drugs from an upper middle class kid, the source of drugs is usually some crime
organization 3 hands removed. The only exception is people getting their drugs from stolen or fraudulently obtained pharmaceuticals.
Short stuff: You would be a better parent to tell your kids to not do drugs, and if they must do drugs, then stick to alcohol and home-grown organic
pot.
Pot is easy to grow, and legal to grow, all you tokers should grow your own…
Woke!

Pretty common story up here is people who were led into addiction to opiates through prescriptions from their doctors after major physical trauma.
Over prescriptions of opiates is still being compensated by major lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies that pushed them out in past decades
claiming there were no long term dangers.

But this story if accurate is definitely murder. This man did not choose the drug that killed him, someone else chose it for him. The really
surprising part is no one tried to help

What exactly "worked" in the past?
Most people seem to agree that the "war on drugs" as we have historically approached it, has been an expensive and colossal failure. What worked?
Coke was ~$100 a gram in 1975, it's ~$80 today ($15 in 1975!!!). That tells me the supply has not been affected, in fact, increased despite the DEA
getting hundreds of billions over the years.

Remember the drug quaalude? It was a very popular drug that is no longer available. The way it was eliminated was to get control of the precursor
chemicals. That is now happening with fentanyl.

Lencho: Quote: "They were standing at the bar and they were having conversation with these young ladies and the people at the bar. And he took a sip
out of a drink and just collapsed," his mother said.
Thomas said no one was trying to help her son.
"They moved them out of the way, like I said earlier," she said. "Drag him outside and threw him in the alley."
Thomas explained the family had to do their own investigation to find Colburt's body. When it was time to bring him home, Thomas said the morgue
charged the family extra fees.
His death is being investigated as a homicide.
True...may not be a Homicide...just being investigated as such. I am mainly shocked they threw his body outside without attempts to revive him. What
do you call that where you come from?

Unsubstantiated as yet? Like the allegation of homicide?
I think more facts are needed in this case. Where's Inspector Gadget?

I was responding and quoted Lencho. Regarding the 'coming in' across the border. |
Good for you. So, what worked in the past?

Which is why there is a link to a GoFundMe page for additional info so the family can pay for the investigation I would guess.

Fentanyl: Despite the rapidly expanding amounts actually being stopped at borders according to those posts I put up earlier, the amount getting in has
been growing rapidly as has the death rates. For our grandkids safety we have to find an answer. This one is being mixed with other recently legalized
drugs at present without the users' knowledge and there is now a movement to legalize Cocaine as well. Very small amounts can be lethal and we can't
continue to ignore it.

Now, with the free flow of everyone from everywhere, all sorts of dangerous drugs and people are coming across. Nobody had to get tested for Covid,
either.
Drug traffickers and human smugglers have a friend in the White House now. Fentanyl poisoning is killing hundreds daily. Shame shame shame.

David,
What does any of your partisan diatribe have to do with the guy who died partying in Papas and Beer in Rosarito? Huh?
P.s. can you tell me which channel is state-controlled, I think I might like to watch it and see what is up.

If it's possible to avoid going political on this, (please don't), what exactly would you do to prevent its coming in?

Lock the border down to only legal migration as much as possible.
Fund and accelerate the processing of legal migration.

I don't know what good a border wall does when the majority of drugs come across in tractor trailers, automobiles, ships, planes, or tunnels.

More resources can be dedicated to the ports of entry once the border is relatively secure.

Drug smuggling and immigration are unrelated. Only idiots and bigots that hate immigrants try to link the 2 issues.
