COURSE REVEAL
At a 3 p.m. PT SCORE Media Conference on Saturday, SCORE will unveil the official course map for the 2022 SCORE Baja 1000, the 55th edition of the iconic Granddaddy of All Desert Races.

They should call it the Baja 782, since it is 218 miles short of 1000 for the amateur class :light: (even the pro class is 172 short of 1000)

Woke!

It is hard to do 1000 miles without doing the same tracks each time. Especially without a peninsula run. Racers will have a bit of cost savings for a short 1000.
They could have added more tracks in the south to extent the miles

I am pretty sure one of the peninsula runs not too long ago wound up being close to 1200 miles.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

Goat it is either 1000 miles or 1000 KM or anything in between, don't be so picky.

I think it was the early 90s the race was in the 600+ mile range. Danny Hamel raced most of it solo. I think Jack Johnson did a short section for him but Danny did almost the whole race. Danny was a great racer.

The 1000km loop 1000's are typically tougher on equipment/body/mind than the 1000+mile peninsula 1000's. Nobody wishes for more abuse at the end of a loop 1000, even if it's only 700 miles.

Reason, on a peninsula run there are many sections of sustained high speeds that eat up the miles quickly and are a bit easier than the pounding jeep trails around Ensenada.

Opposite is true for the crews.

I have been trying to reach Doug to confirm... Hopefully, it is not the case.

If you went Off-Topic like you should when you go off topic you would know that this is not true.

I'm silencing the opposition? How? (Baja1000 race course peeps, I apologize for the derailing) DK, since you never went off topic how could I possibly know your political leanings? - Because you shove it in our faces ALL THE TIME!
Why are so many of your posts edited or deleted afterwards? Trolling I presume.

You are definitly NOT above OFFTOPIC. This forum would be better off if you lowered your ego and actually went OFFTOPIC when you spout your conservative agenda and keep Baja Nomad discussion at a respectable, all-encompassing level.

Baja1000 is not my thing but dudes... please be safe. Peace and ¡Salud!

As I said, I only respond to others who went political before me,
What do you think you actually accomplish by doing so? :?:

Maybe the same thing as the instigator?
You do have a point, why bother...?
I guess maybe because I believe in fairness and balance.
If myself or the other 'right thinkers' stopped challenging their Liberal-Marxist nonesense, then how is this a true forum of ideas when only one idea is presented???
As I said before, if they stop then you wouldn't see my response.

yawn…

It's like talking to a wall Willard.

Hey David, maybe before you hit the send button, sleep on it. Ask yourself, "Is this political?" or "Am I trolling?" or best of all "Is this a wholesome Baja related reply?". You are killing this forum man. Please stop!

(I'm sure this is when you cry I'm trying to silence you)
