It's almost as if this administration, in their 'open border' actions (or lack of), is working for the Chinese fentanyl makers and the Mexican cartel
importers!!
What is Hunter and the 'Big Guy' pocketing and isn't 175 fentanyl deaths per day worth talking action to stop this insanity??
==========================================================
Edit for the low information voters here: By 'open border,' I am talking about where Biden halted the border wall construction and refuses to help the
Border Patrol to stop the hoards crossing the Rio Grande.
Only Fox News has been on the border to provide the news which is clear to see, no need to believe what is being said. The state of Texas has to pay
for their National Guard to assist... it still isn't enough.
The administration won't go to this crisis on the border, because then CNN and the other 'state-controlled media' outlets would need to send a crew
there... You can't let Americans (who don't watch Fox) see the truth of the failures of the Biden-Harris administration!
The media bias helping Democrats is so crystal clear, you must have your head where the sun don't shine not to see it! Did you hear Harris praise our
allied friendship with North Korea while standing in South Korea on the DMZ?
The media never let you forget when another VP, misspelled potato... but this VP gets the name of our friend, South Korea, mixed up with a communist
dictatorship in the opposite direction. She can't figure the difference between North and South Korea, but she must spell potato correctly, I guess??

Isn't seizing all those drugs called taking action? WTF is the matter with you guys that you'd rather lose an arm than give any credit to a Democratic
administration? Any responsible thing they do you find a way to s**t on.
Just like your Republican politicians vote against any legislation designed to help people, just because it was introduced by the Democrats.

The following is from the Cato Institute, an American libertarian think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1977, 45 years ago.
https://www.cato.org/blog/fentanyl-smuggled-us-citizens-us-c...
I set the bold font.
-------------------------
Here are facts:
Fentanyl smuggling is ultimately funded by U.S. consumers who pay for illicit opioids: nearly 99 percent of whom are U.S. citizens.
In 2021, U.S. citizens were 86.3 percent of convicted fentanyl drug traffickers—ten times greater than convictions of illegal immigrants for
the same offense.
Over 90 percent of fentanyl seizures occur at legal crossings points or interior vehicle checkpoints, not on illegal migration routes, so U.S.
citizens (who are subject to less scrutiny) when crossing legally are the best smugglers.
The location of smuggling makes sense because hard drugs at ports of entry are about 97 percent less likely to be stopped than people crossing
illegally between them.
Just 0.02 percent of the people arrested by Border Patrol for crossing illegally possessed any fentanyl whatsoever.
The government exacerbated the problem by banning most legal cross border traffic in 2020 and 2021, accelerating a switch to fentanyl (the
easiest‐to‐conceal drug).
During the travel restrictions, fentanyl seizures at ports quadrupled from fiscal year 2019 to 2021. Fentanyl went from a third of combined heroin and
fentanyl seizures to over 90 percent.
Fentanyl is primarily trafficked by U.S. citizens. The U.S. Sentencing Commission publishes data on all federal convictions, which
includes demographic information on individuals convicted of fentanyl trafficking. Figure 1 shows the citizenship status of fentanyl traffickers for
2018 to 2021. Every year, U.S. citizens receive the most convictions by far. In 2021, U.S. citizens accounted for 86.3 percent of fentanyl
trafficking convictions compared to just 8.9 percent for illegal immigrants.

My last dose of fentanyl
It was aa month ago when I had cameras shoved down my throat, and up my bung at the same time. The doctor questioned me one more time about what
medications or other substances I have had in the last few days, then called out a dosage of Fentanyl to the anesthesiologist, and that is the last
thing I remember.
Meth is a whole different product, that I wish I could make disappear from society!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

They seized that much. How much got through undetected? Fentanyl deaths are soaring because the border isn't secure and we have put up a big sign
inviting all to come on in. Also CBP agents have been maligned and are over-worked with people streaming into the country. They can't be effective
at stopping all the drugs.
DEA press release:
"Fentanyl is driving the nationwide overdose epidemic. The CDC estimates that in the 12-month period ending in October 2021, more than 105,000
Americans died of drug overdoses, with 66 percent of those deaths related to synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Last year, the United States
suffered more fentanyl-related deaths than gun- and auto-related deaths combined."

They could make meth disappear. The precursor chemicals are very complicated to make. The majority used in illegal drugs come from Chinese chemical
factories. I also read about one in India. If you stop the production and import precursor chemicals, you stop methamphetamine. But there's a problem.
Johnson and Johnson, and other huge drug manufacturers around the world make cold medicines out of the same chemicals, and that's big money.
Drying out stuffed-up sinuses is important, ya know.

I find the numbers in the reports I posted to be astounding. The drug seizures were just one week in only the San Diego district. 4.1 million dollars
worth of drugs were seized. How many millions made it across?
And the smuggling has little to do with migrants or Mexicans. American citizens are doing almost 87% of the smuggling.
And, of course, it's all going to Americans to consume. Perhaps if American drug users had a safe, legal supply a lot of problems would be solved.
IMHO stopping the smuggling is almost impossible.

And how many deaths due to Covid over the last year or two? How many unnecessary deaths to those who refused to take common sense action to prevent
infection? How many refused masking, and paid with their lives because of your stupid contrarian positions? How many anti-vaxxers died?
Why are you on the soapbox over fentanyl? Why not guns, drunk drivers, or covid spreaders? What about the tyranny of having to separate our trash
into separate containers? Now, that's the real travesty!
Just your latest "shiny object" to troll about on BN?

So, JZ, you just chose to completely ignore the stats SFandH posted and continue to falsely blame the drug smuggling on immigrants. All your talking
points seem to rely on willfully ignoring facts or making up your own "alternative facts".

Unfortunately the stats are mainly related to seizures at the controlled points of entry. How much is coming in through uncontrolled points is
anyone's guess. Boats, private planes, tunnels were the most common methods of illegal import in the past, why would it be different now?
Two boats, one from another country to drop the load and one from the mainland to pick it up would be relatively easy to set up you'd think.
The only real way of slowing this down is at the user end. As long as people will demand it, the producers will find a way to get it to them.

Read what I wrote. CBP is overwhelmed with 4 million ppl streaming across the border. They don't have the resources to stop drugs flowing. Plus
how many drugs came through undetected outside the ports of entry.
Secure the damn border. Push for legal migration.

Lives get ruined by drugs because of drug abuse. Ban or eliminate one drug, and drug abusers will simply find another drug.
Dont get your panties in a bunch over smuggling. Focus on the drug user!
Just say no!

Why would it be different now?
As the supply chain issues recover, there are far more trucks and cross border trains hauling all sorts of freight than can be inspected. It doesn't
help that a much larger than normal percentage of agents are now tied up handling migrants rather than searching for contraband.

This is by far your stupidest post ever....you have truly lost it and it's sad. You are reducing the number of people on this website who want to

No point in getting your pantys in a bunch over a political view. It’s only one persons opinion and you can ignore it and carry on, or post an
intelligent rebuttal if you think it’s that important.

Two Sundays ago, Kamala went on a Sunday show, looked in the camera, and declared that the border is secure. She lied to the American public. No one
in the main stream media fact checked this.
4M ppl have crossed the border illegally in the last two years. Not including the got aways.
The NYC mayor has setup a massive tent city on an island because they don't have any other available resources.
Thousands of unaccompanied minors are being flown all around the country with little oversight. What is the chance they are being abused?
I'm not sure how anyone is cool with this? If you don't have a border, you don't have a country.
