Looking for dentist again.

Anywhere from Tijuana to La Paz, the farther North - the better. Somebody that you've been completely happy with for more than 5 years and did a variety of works with him.

I thought mine in Ensenada was good, bridge is still holding after 10 years, but Canadian dentist yesterday dropped a bomb - pointed out on the screen (like I understand what he is showing me) one incompletely treated root canal under the bridge, one untreated, and some inflammation.

Is there more than one dentist there working at the same time?

A couple of months ago I went to a TJ dental clinic that had three chairs in one large room with 3 dentists working on patients. All the equipment was new, the facility was super clean and my repair work went fine but all the people made it a noisy, rather hectic experience that raised my already high anxiety level.

I prefer a one-dentist (chair) dental office. Maybe I'm being picky, but asi es.

I understand. Finding someone you trust and feel comfortable with is most important.

He's got his own practice as far as I know. One operatory.

My father was a dentist, and Dr. G seems to have the same skillful hands as my late father. Went to a couple other dentists after he died, but Dr. G was the best I've found.

Implants are a specialty and not something that most dentists can do. Dr. Miguel Corona at Washington Dental in TJ is excellent and reasonably priced.

I think so. He is supposed to do one I need in December. Give him a call, his assistant, Sebastian, speaks English well. As does the doctor, as he has a practice up in the States too.

Thanks, I only think this is too important to risk it with a supervised student. Upper jaw, sinus lift, and if Canadian dentist really saw inflammation, it takes time to subside after the extraction or the implant will fail. Not a standard scenario. The Canadian said it would take at least 6 months to heal before implant, not 3 months like they often do in Mexico. He wasn't doing implants, was retiring soon anyway, had no interest to BS me.

Yes, I've waited almost 3 years now after extraction to make sure the bone heals up well and gums have a chance to repair. Luckily, the missing chiclet is not visible. I'd take it slow if I were you too. I've heard of the implant clinic but not sure if Dr. G uses them or not. I'm waiting until I have a couple weeks off for winter break and can stay down at roomie's place a few days. Maybe take a run out to MSR and see what the creek looks like.
