Trip report

Drove down to Gonzaga Bay, Punta Final thru Mexicali west, San Felipe. The drive was same, same. Usual traffic, road was good, no pot holes, maybe two small wash outs on side of highway filled with sand. Easy down and back.

Thanks Pete.
Anything new popping up along the bay? Was the military checkpoint still not open and looked abandoned?

Only thing new on the bay was some lots for sale near Sacraficio, some grading, not much. Same old thing in Punta, and the military check is still abandoned.

The military checkpoint in Gonzaga, north of Ranch Grande is now non-existent. Nearly every scrap of lumber and materials are gone.
I was at Alfonsina's for a week. Don't recall seeing any military; did see one Poilicia car

Are the concrete lane dividers and overhead awning still on the highway?

Yes, approaching it, looks the same, just no people, no buildings.
