Does Global Entry require a current Passport?

Happy 2023!

I switched to Global Entry from SENTRI and need to know:

Can I use it to cross from Baja in the SENTRI lanes if my passport has expired? (they do not have the same expiration dates)

Thanks for help/references for Information

I've been perusing the various US state dept/GOES travel websites and haven't found a definitive answer.

Since you must have an FMM in Baja, and it requires a valid passport, that can't expire before the FMM does ... I don't think you will have a problem because you won't be in Mexico (legally). ??? Maybe I am missing something? LOL I hope you have a Funtime, where ever that may be! Happy 2023 back at you!

Thanks David- I've let my renewal get away from me and now face a mid-Feb expiry of the passport. I can try to expedite renewal.

What's the minimum time for an FMM- 7 days?

Well, up to 7 days is free.. You can get one just for 1 day if you are just crossing the border for dinner. No matter how many days, you keep the FMM for as long as it is valid and use it for several trips, if you want. When it is expired, toss it in the trash or burn it, since your passport number is on it.
