Filling square vs. round water jugs?

Hi,

Apparently the drinking water despensaries in Baja only fill the round 'office cooler' water jugs. I'd like to avoid using the round ones, and bring my own 5 gal square jugs, so that they don't roll all over the place while I'm driving around on the crazy roads. Will they fill my square jugs? Would they fill the round jugs and then allow me to transfer the water to my square jugs?

Thanks!

Colin

All I've seen will fill any jug you bring.

I've had them fill my square and rectangle water jugs - no problem.

The only thing I can think of towards limiting what they'll fill - the office jugs, etc - is those are containers that they are certain of the volume of, versus jugs they aren't familiar with --- and many jugs markings are not necessarily exact.... especially the square jugs that expand so easily after being in the heat a few times.

So, if they want to fill office-type jugs only, I would still feel confident I could transfer the water if I needed to.

And at the price of purified water, 7pesos for 5 gal. I wouldn't worry too much about short fill/overchage.

So ... what sort of paperwork do I need to transport hydrogen oxide in Baja? Do I need to provide proof of ownership?

:?:
